SANGEETA SHILEDAR

BIO

Introducing Sangeeta, whose journey from non-sports to a triathlete started in 2015, with the aim of losing weight whilst avoiding dieting. She pottered around for a few years and then in 2019, upped her game by registering for an Ironman 70.3 (Triathlon). The journey of a non-swimmer to open water swimming was especially a big challenge for her. However, within 6 months, Sangeeta learned swimming and beat her fear of swimming in open water.

Sangeeta loves triathlon because it has introduced her to podiums. Her mantra is “Soch liya toh mumkin hai!” Not only running, Sangeeta has represented the state in table tennis during her school days as well.
Sangeeta’s weekly routine includes 2 days of running, strength training, swimming and cycling each. This sport has given her an opportunity to explore places and new experiences. She believes that every race is a new challenge, a new experience and a new learning. Every race has its own targets and she feels a tremendous sense of achievement accomplishing these targets. The confidence it has given her is incredible.
